  1. Staircase Timeline

Your staircase is a great place to tell a story. Starting from the bottom, display photos on either side of the staircase until the top. Begin your story at the bottom and finish it up with current photos at the landing. You can use picture frames for this or you can place the photos directly onto the wall to create a huge collage of photos.

  1. Geometric Display

A great way to fill up an empty wall space is by using it to make a geometric display of your favourite photos. It’s incredibly easy to make. Start by attaching a bunch of nails onto the wall, or if it’s possible, you can use tacks instead. Wrap a length of twine around the nails or tacks as if you’re connecting the dots. You don’t have to have a particular pattern unless you want to. Once the geometric shapes are done, attach your photos onto the twine using a binder clip.

  1. Ladder Photo Frame

Any old ladder can be transformed into a unique photo frame. But if you want yours to stand-out, you can make a ladder of your own from scratch using small pieces of logs. The logs add a rustic appeal that brings more emphasis and importance to the photos you display on the ladder. You can prop up the handmade ladder with your favourite photos against the wall or you can hang it up horizontally on the wall.

  1. Wall Clock

If you’re quite handy with tools and you are willing to spend some time for something definitely worth the effort, then you can make a working wall clock with your favourite photos as the time. If not, you can still make the wall clock to display your precious memories even if the clock doesn’t actually work. It’s a unique and fun way to display photos and it makes a great decorative piece on an otherwise empty wall.

  1. Large Frame

For an easy, neat, and creative way to display a lot of photos at once, you can make use of a massive frame. To make it look organized, only use photos that are landscape-oriented and arrange them neatly side-by-side. Once it’s done, secure the frame on the wall to make sure it won’t topple over.

  1. Dangling Photos

You can make a hanging photo display using a fallen branch to maintain the vintage appeal and rustic charm of Polaroid photos. All you need is some twine, a small branch, your photos, and a couple of metal rings. Attach a metal ring at the top and bottom of a photo. Secure a twine onto the top ring to hang it up on the branch. You can then hang another photo on the previous photo through the bottom metal ring. Once you’ve hung up an array of photos, hang the entire branch on a wall.

  1. Chalkboard Frame

Paint a smooth, plain frame with chalkboard paint to create a chalkboard frame. You can then write personalized notes around the photo and change them every time you like. You can even hang a bunch of chalkboard frames up together with notes around each one to create a welcome or goodbye sign.
