1. Mason Jar

Mason jars are incredibly versatile and being a candle holder is yet another of its many practical uses. Mason jars can efficiently hold candles while adding a touch of elegance in the room. One creative way to use Mason jars as candle holders is by using it to give tea lights a floating candle effect, perfect for a lovely rustic look that can be used in events as intimate as a wedding.

2. Wooden Block

A simple block of wood can be easily turned into a beautiful candlestick holder. Take a single wooden block then place dot stickers all around the center of the block. Cover the lower half with newspaper or any covering to keep paint off of it. Now, paint the wooden block any colour you want then remove the stickers and covering. The result would be a beautiful scalloped design perfect for any setting. Use a power drill to make a hole for the candlestick.

3. Birch Logs

For a classy and rustic design, you can use birch logs as candlestick holders. Simply saw the logs to any length you want then drill a hole in the center for the candlestick and add felt pads to the bottom of the logs. It’s very simple to make and incredibly creative.

You can turn a huge slice of wood into a compact, votive holder. Make about three large holes into the wood. Depending on the size of the wood, you can make more or less holes. Make sure the holes are big enough to fit a candle votive. Since the candles are inside the votive, setting the wood on fire would not be likely.

You can glam up a candle votive using gold or silver glitter. Simply cover the entire inside of the votive with mod podge then sprinkle it with a lot of glitter. Let it dry overnight then tap the votive upside down to get rid of any loose glitter that easily comes off. Cover the glitter with a top coat polish to secure the glitter in place. If you don’t have a candle votive, you can use any glass container. Place a tea light inside and watch the sparkly glow it emits.

6. Copper

For an elegant, minimalistic candle holder, all you need is a copper coil. Use pliers to shape the copper coil into something spiral with a circular base to keep it upright and a pointed top for the candlestick. Skewer the candlestick to the top end to finish the holder.
